A timeless puzzle game
Color Lines is the classic puzzle you may remember as Lines: calm on the surface, calculating underneath. Balls of seven colours appear on a 9×9 board, and your job is to line up five or more of the same colour before the board fills.
A completed line disappears, scores and gives you room to breathe. If your move does not complete a line, three new balls drop in — and space runs short. The Next panel shows what is coming, so a good move is planned rather than guessed.
Good play is rewarded. Clear lines on two moves in a row and one of the coming balls turns into a bomb: in a line it blows up the eight balls around it, and a neighbouring bomb goes off in a chain. A line of six or longer earns a rainbow ball that matches any colour. And your best game, like every game on the weekly board, can be watched again move by move.

Move along free cells
Tap a ball, then tap an empty cell. It travels there only if a free path exists — balls move horizontally and vertically, never through each other.

Any direction counts
Five or more of one colour clear horizontally, vertically or along either diagonal. Several lines cleared in one move add up.

Bombs
Clear lines on two moves in a row and the leftmost plain ball in the Next panel becomes a bomb. When it is part of a line, it also clears the eight balls around it, one point each, and a neighbouring bomb explodes in a chain. The longer the streak, the more bombs it brings.

Rainbow ball
A line of six or more earns a rainbow ball. It matches any colour, so one rainbow can complete several lines at once. Five rainbows in a row count as a line too.

Watch the best games
Every game on the weekly board can be replayed move by move, at the pace it was played, and so can your own best. The server replays each game itself before it counts the score.

Undo one move
The undo button returns the board to the state before your last move. On iPhone, iPad and Mac it is free; elsewhere it costs a short ad. It is single-use, and a record raised by the undone move rolls back with it.

Pick up where you left
Score, best result and statistics are saved, and an unfinished game can be resumed at any time — even on another device.
Scoring
The longer the line, the steeper the reward — nine balls are worth more than four times a bare five. Several lines cleared in one move add up.
